Its very important that you monitor your readers’ behavior on your blog. You need to have check what are the sources of your readers, from which region they belong to, how much time they are spending on your blog, what are the pages which visited most and which are the pages which are visited least. How much total traffic is there on your blog, what is the trend of people visiting your blog, what are their interests. There are many things which you need to track to run a blog. We can do this all with Google Analytics.

What is Google Analytics? Google Analytics is a tool developed by Google where we can monitor our visitors’ behavior, actions and liking-disliking. Its a very powerful tool. Good thing is that its completely free and very easy to use. All you need is to have a Google Account(gmail account) and then you can sign in for Google Analytics.

Once you login into your Google Analytics account, you can see a link to add your website. After adding your website, they will provide you a tracking script which you need to put into <head> tags of your all web pages. If you are not technical then you might need to use your developer’s help but still this is simple 10 minutes copy paste job. If you are using WordPress then you can easily find many  plugins from where you can maintain google tracking codes.

As soon as Google Tracing code is added on your web pages your user tracking is started. Even you can monitor your real time visitors. Isn’t it amazing!!! You can add as many websites in your single Google analytics account. But remember each website will have its own tracking code. If you have any question regarding adding Google Analytics code, please write me back. I will be happy to help you. Happy tracking your users 🙂 🙂 🙂
