Recently I have read a very thoughtful quote from the book ‘The Way of the Superior man’. This quote forced me to stop and ponder on it. Here is the quote:

Most men make the error of thinking that one day it will be done. They think, “If I can work enough, then one day I could rest.” Or, “One day my woman will understand something and then she will stop complaining.” Or, “I’m only doing this now so that one day I can do what I really want with my life.” The masculine error is to think that eventually things will be different in some fundamental way. They won’t. It never ends. As long as life continues, the creative challenge is to tussle, play, and make love with the present moment while giving your unique gift.

I believe most of us are doing the same mistake. We always try to get more money, more business, more savings, more facilities, more everything, just in the hope that one day we will have enough everything so that we have good life and can spend a good time with our beloved ones. But no one knows when that day will come when we will have enough everything. We are making ourselves a virtual bank who want to have everything but have no time to enjoy what we already have. May be that day comes when we have enough everything, but are we sure that at that time we can enjoy it, maybe we lost our all health by that day. Maybe we don’t have our beloved ones around us by that day to accompany us. We really don’t know that which day will be the last day of our life. Then why this collection of everything? Why not to enjoy what we have? Why to run after more? Mankind has made their lives very tough and miserable with this race. This is nothing but an illusion and a hunger of getting more.

But this quote never means that we should sit down and stop doing everything. It just means that do not get indulge in the false journey of getting more and enjoying after achieving. Stop hoping for a completion of anything in life. Getting more thing is not the key of happiness, enjoying everything what you have makes you satisfied, happy and complete. Life is a precious gift to enjoy. Happy enjoying 🙂 🙂 🙂
